James R. Bentley
CEO of Wonder
James R. Bentley discovered magic as a child and never looked back. What began as a boyhood fascination with coins and cards grew into a lifelong dedication to the art of close-up magic — a pursuit he has refined over more than five decades of live performance.
His career spans thousands of shows: a long-running residency at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, headline engagements at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, and corporate events for some of America's most recognized brands — from Coca-Cola and IBM to Target, Nissan, and Olive Garden.
Bentley's magic is rooted in storytelling. His signature coin work — described by fellow magicians as some of the finest they've ever witnessed live — combines flawless technique with a theatrical presence that transforms a simple trick into a genuine moment of wonder. Whether performing tableside at a restaurant or center-stage at a corporate gala, he reads every room and tailors every performance to the people in it.
An active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians, and an 8-year member of Conjuror Community, Bentley remains as passionate about the craft today as he was the day he first picked up a coin.
